Grants Awarded in August 2009

In August, 2009 the WHC awarded a total of $7,348 to the following four organizations for their public humanities programs:

$2000 to The Friends of Lorine Niedecker, Inc. of Fort Atkinson for "Lorine Niedecker Wisconsin Poetry Festival."

$2000 to TAPIT/new works, Inc. of Madison for "The Uncommon Fun Project."

$1748 to the St. Croix Falls Public Library for "Big Read Book Distribution, Northwest Wisconsin."

$1600 to the International Learning Center of Milwaukee (a center of the Neighborhood House) for "Photos and Conversations with Milwaukee Refugees and Immigrants."
