Grants Awarded in November 2009

In November 2009 the WHC awarded a total of $12,148 to the following eight organizations for their public humanities programs:

$2000 to Glacier Edge Elementary School of Verona for "Portraits of Our Community."

$2000 to the Madison Children's Museum for "Block 99 History Project."

$2000 to the Madison Youth Choirs, Inc. for "The Little Prince."

$2000 to Theatre Unlimited, Inc. of Janesville for "Fiddler on the Roof."

$1351 to the New Berlin Public Library for "Water: Its Use, Its Ownership, Its Protection."

$1253 to the L.D. Fargo Public Library of Lake Mills for "African American Women Writers: An Introductory Discussion."

$1000 to the Friends of Beckman Mill, Inc. of Beloit for "Cooperage/Beckman Home Museum."

$544 to the Waunakee Public Library for "Wisconsin: Through the Ages."
