Major Grants Announced!

Congratulations to the following organizations! Earlier this month, the WHC awarded at total of $55,762 to the following six groups in support of their outstanding public humanities programs:


$10,000 to the Betty Boop Festival Wisconsin of Wisconsin Rapids for Betty Boop Festival Wisconsin

$10,000 to Northwoods Niijii of Lac du Flambeau for Lac du Flambeau Ojibwe Culture

$10,000 to the Sheboygan Children’s Book Festival Steering Committee of Plymouth for Sheboygan Children’s Book Festival

$10,000 to Lawrence University of Appleton for John Muir in the New World

$6,782 to the Kenosha Literacy Council of Kenosha for Project Journey

$8,980 to the Wormfarm Institute of Reedsburg for Key Ingredients: Sauk County by Food
