Congratulations to the following organizations! In June, the WHC awarded $58,950 in major grants to the seven organizations listed below in support of their outstanding humanities projects.
$10,000 to the Chippewa Valley Museum of Eau Claire for "What Country Now."
$10,000 to the Milwaukee Public Theatre for "Vital Conversations about End-of-Life Care."
$10,000 to the Still Waters Collective of Milwaukee for "The 2011 Third Power Summit."
$10,000 to Tri-County Community Center, Inc. of Edgerton for "Edgerton Sterling North Book and Film Festival."
$9,900 to the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for the Humanities for "Antigone in Wisconsin."
$5,300 to the Sheboygan Children's Book Festival Steering Committee for "2011 Sheboygan Children's Book Festival."
$3,750 to the Kenosha Literacy Council for "Kenosha Connections."
