Congratulations to the following organizations! In October, the WHC awarded $45,880 in major grants to the six organizations listed below in support of their outstanding humanities projects.
$10,000 to Dunn County Historical Society of Menomonie for the exhibition "Playing Through: African American Baseball in Dunn County."
$10,000 to Marquette County Historical Society of Westfield for the book "Recipe for Community: A Pinch of People, a Dash of Dirt, a Sprinkle of Innovation."
$10,000 to Sokol Milwaukee for the exhibition "Sokol History Project."
$6,698 to Cultural Landscape Legacies, Inc. of Muscada for "Lost Nation: The loway 2 & 3" Historical Documentary Films.
$4,682 to U.S.S. Liberty Memorial Public Library of Grafton for the public event series "A World of Music."
$4,500 to Dominican Center for Women, Inc. of Milwaukee for the history and culture tour "Underground Railroad History Project."
